The Electrical
Control Panel Houses Key Switches and Fuses
Providing
power to key systems of any car is important, but in
keeping with the high performance theme of our ultimate
street Camaro, a special electrical switch and fuse
panel was added at the top of the windshield. This
panel gives the driver control over the various electrical
subsystems, such as the starter, ignition, fans, fuel
pumps, lights, and accessories, such as the windshield
wiper motor, etc. And since the panel carries the fuse
for each circuit, any system failure can be quickly
spotted, and the fuse replaced, if necessary. This
panel adds a very functional, almost aircraft, look
to the Camaro’s driver compartment.
The
switch/fuse panel is from Painless Wiring®. It
features eight lighted rocker switches and the accompanying
fuse receptacles. Tabs were welded to the roll cage
bar to facilitate the mounting.
