PowerPack® System

Although the 6.8L V-10 Triton has two more cylinders than Ford's discontinued 7.5L V-8, its nominally 10% smaller capacity makes optimal engine efficiency critical to power production. If there's one thing Banks engineers know, it's that engine airflow is the key to efficiency and power. That expertise earned Banks the record for World's Fastest Motorhome: a PowerPacked Ford 6.8L V-10 Class-C Chinook that blasted past General Motor's record at 99.7 mph! Banks' stainless-steel PowerPack unleashes best gains of +53 hp, +69 lb-ft torque, and 7% more MPG.

Important: Some vehicle configurations require an extension kit for proper fit.

Please note: Does not fit 2004 and later Fleetwood Powerplatform and National RV-Duraframe models.

Getting what one hopes for and not being disappointed

We have just completed a 4000 mile drive in our 34" A style motor home. This is built upon a Ford chassis with the V10 Triton engine.

We had installed a Banks air system and Ottomind before we left. This trip was a good evaluation and the new Banks system did everything we wished of it. What a difference in performance. The motor maintained its power on hills and thus had much less down-shifting. It also had better acceleration and we used no oil in the motor for replenishment at all during the trip. This would have compared to about ½ liter to 500 miles driving previous to the Banks installation.

I had also changed the oil to synthetic oil at the time of the installation so this may have contributed to the engine performance. None the less, the drive is now enjoyable and lets one drive without holding up the other traffic.

I must also add that your service and shipping were on-time and everything as-advertised. I had the installation done by Suncoast Motors htD., of 1117 Sunshine Coast Hwy.

Although this was their first installation of this product, they did a great job at reasonable rates and we experienced no break-in problems.

It has been a good experience to get what one hopes for and not be disappointed. Thanks for your engineering expertise and commitment to performance.

Yours Truly,
Ron M.

RV Today features Banks

It's an old episode but what Gale explains about the principles of improving the performance in your RV still applies today.
