Interior
Naturally, the interior of the Banks Sidewinder Top Dragster will be a sparse environment, equipped only with mission-critical hardware. This race car's carbon-fiber dash will show only the basic switches, a boost gauge, a tachometer, oil pressure and water temperature dials.
The driver will sit in a form-fitting wrap-around carbon-fiber bucket seat that's really part of the cockpit floor, legs in a protective carbon-fiber "tunnel" within the chassis. About the only other driver "tools" aboard this ship are the pedals, the steering yoke, and the parachute deployment handle. That clear, wrap-around windshield is heavy weight, shatterproof Lexan® by the way.
